Conrad O’Brien Wins Motion to Dismiss Legal Malpractice Case against AmLaw100 Law Firm
June 28, 2010
Conrad O’Brien has won a motion to dismiss a legal malpractice case for an AmLaw100 law firm against a former client.
The former client alleged the law firm filed a notice of appeal of the dismissal of $1.7 million in construction delay damages, but failed to serve the statement of issues raised on appeal to the trial judge. Senior Judge Albert W. Sheppard Jr. granted summary judgment in favor of the law firm, ruling LVI suffered no damages and dismissed its malpractice claim against the firm for failing to timely appeal the denial of damages for construction delays. The AmLaw100 law firm was represented in this case by Nicholas M. Centrella.
