Biography

Mark Seiberling currently practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, class actions, professional liability, complex torts, mass torts and white collar defense.

Representative Matters include the following:

  • Won summary judgment and subsequent appeal of complex litigation involving school district’s attempt to impose student enrollment limits at charter schools in district.
  • Obtained dismissal of Section 1983 action against state legislator.
  • Obtained dismissal of class action involving massage therapists who sought reimbursement from insurer for their unlicensed treatment of therapeutic massage.
  • Won motion to dismiss fraud and breach of fiduciary action brought by insured against former insurance broker.
  • Won dismissal of fraud, breach of contract and conspiracy action against prominent insurer.
  • Won motion to dismiss malicious prosecution and abuse of process action against prominent law firm.
  • Pursued action against bank for breach of contract, wrongful dishonor of checks and other UCC claims.

In addition to his clerkship with Justice Newman, Mark also served as a judicial intern to The Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and The Honorable John J. T. Kelly, Jr., of the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
