Biography
Lorie Dakessian represents businesses, professionals, and government entities in a variety of white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation matters. Lorie has substantial experience in identifying, preserving, and analyzing electronically stored information (ESI) from complex computer systems as part of the investigatory or discovery process.
Prior to joining the firm, Lorie served for six years in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office. As a prosecutor in the Appeals Unit, she was responsible for managing all aspects of large and complex appellate cases. She routinely appeared before state appellate and trial courts, including several oral arguments before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. In addition, Lorie handled the District Attorney’s Office’s response to two petitions for writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court.

- Defense of individual and corporate clients in connection with federal and state criminal investigations, including grand jury investigations.
- Defense of attorneys in civil, criminal, and disciplinary matters.
- Defended equipment distribution company against allegations of unfair trade practices.
- Represented former executor of multi-million dollar estate involving numerous complex real estate transactions.
- Defended a multinational computer technology and consulting corporation in a complex contractual dispute involving a former high-ranking executive of its subsidiary.
- Defended producer of eco-conscious flooring materials in a case involving allegations of unfair competition and trade secret violations.
- Defended company against allegation of breach of contract with a major healthcare system.
- Defended mortgage company in dispute involving allegations of misrepresentations of terms of mortgage loan.
