Biography
Jon Crawford is Of Counsel to the firm, and has worked on a wide range of complex business and insurance litigation since joining the firm in 1997. His work has included the representation of Rohm and Haas Company in a major environmental insurance coverage case, representation of IBM (with firm shareholder Bob Feltoon) in a dispute involving a potential subcontractor under a multi-million dollar contract between IBM and the Department of Defense, and representation of a leading regional construction contractor in a successful suit to obtain insurance coverage for a serious construction accident in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan worked for seven years as a litigation associate at the firm of Davis, Polk and Wardwell in New York City, after graduating with honors from Harvard Law School.
Currently, Jonathan is teaming with Bob Feltoon in representing Qualcomm Inc. in antitrust litigation brought by Broadcom Corporation and pending in the District of New Jersey (Broadcom Corp. v. Qualcomm, Inc., No. 05-3350), and in representing the Progressive Group of Insurance Companies as defendants in a New York action involving reimbursements for multiple MRIs conducted at a single session under New York's "no fault" automobile insurance laws. In that case, defendants won summary judgment dismissing plaintiffs' complaint that the judgment is now on appeal before the Second Circuit (Brentwood Pain & Rehab. Servs., P.C. v. Allstate Ins. Co., 508 F. Supp. 2d 278 (S.D.N.Y. 2007).
