Biography
Colleen M. Johns represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of complex commercial litigation, focusing in the areas of business torts litigation, fiduciary litigation, and class actions.
Representative Matters include the following:
- Prosecuting claims on behalf of businesses concerning business-related torts, including fraud and breach of contract, and securing settlements in federal and state court actions.
- Defending lenders against claims of predatory sales and lending practices.
- Defending and prosecuting claims on behalf of homeowners and fiduciaries regarding rights to real property and obtaining judgment on the merits at trial or securing favorable settlements in state court.
- Defending and obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a public utility in a class action concerning a catastrophic industrial fire in state court.
Colleen served as a part-time faculty member at the Community College of Philadelphia where she taught Research and Writing I, and Civil Litigation in the Paralegal Studies Department.
